Trying to cut those last few pounds of body fat off your lean, muscular frame? A study published in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports shows what can happen when you consume a supplement containing green tea extract before engaging in moderate to intense exercise.
Researchers recruited 12 healthy male subjects and had them perform endurance exercise at 60% of their maximum capacity for an hour 3 times per week. Some got daily doses of green tea extract while others received a placebo. At the end of 10 weeks, the green tea drinkers showed lower average respiratory exchange ratios suggesting greater whole body fat utilization. Less fat's a nice bonus to go along with that anytime boost of energy and hydration support.
